President’s Convocation

Friday, August 17, will be the New Student President’s Convocation in Champ Auditorium. The convocation speaker is Eric Koestner, a partner with Edward Jones and alumnus of Westminster College.
Eric Koestner '98 is a partner with Edward Jones in the Secondary Taxable Fixed Income area, who has excelled as leader and mentor, and has led record-breaking employee giving campaigns. Immediately after graduating from Westminster, Eric was recruited in 1998 to join the Edward Jones instructional league. Demonstrating his excellent performance and leadership, Eric has served as the rotational development program leader and now as a partner, managing a team of 25 traders in St. Louis and Tempe, Arizona. He also has worked in equity trading and corporate bond trading departments for Edward Jones.
In 2011, Eric led the company’s employee giving campaign to support the St. Louis Arts & Education Council which resulted in the most successful Arts & Education Council campaign in the Edward Jones history. In 2012, he headed the company’s United Way leadership giving effort. Nearly $4.5 million was raised through Eric’s leadership. 402 company leaders agreed to donate the funds to make the campaign reach a record for Edward Jones. He has been asked to lead the campaign again in 2013 and he will be co-chairing the company’s entire United Way campaign.
Eric Koestner was recently named to the
St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 under 40 Class of 2012.
Eric has also worked with Westminster Center for Career Development as both a speaker and recruiter.
Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Finance from Westminster College and an Masters of Business Administration degree from Saint Louis University.
