Job Summary:
Leads, supervises, manages, monitors and evaluates the day-to-day activities of assigned staff and contracted service providers to ensure the provision of custodial and grounds services consistently meet high quality standards of appearance and efficiency on a sustained basis.  Supervises the Custodial Services Foreman and contractual custodial and grounds service providers.
 
Required Qualifications:
 Job Requirements: Ability to successfully plan, design and implement organized custodial and grounds maintenance programs;plan and coordinate the work of in-house staff and contractual services; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; analyze situations accurately and objectively and adopt an effective course of action/resolution; meet schedules and timelines; effectively communicate orally and in writing; assist in the preparations, monitoring, and implementation of controls for budget compliance; knowledge and skills in management principles and practices, including optimum use of human and material resources. Class E driver’s license required. Advocate for high quality and standard of care, aesthetics and physical condition of campus facilities and grounds; effective leadership and supervisory skills.
 Proven experience in management of supporting service operations, preferably managing custodial or grounds operations;
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors' Degree preferred.
 
 
Job Description:
 Essential Functions: 

 
1. With the assistance of the Custodial Foreman, reviews and revises work methods and procedures of custodial staff when necessary to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulations, policies and standards..
 
2. Develops and prepares work schedules, prioritizes and coordinates service deliveries to ensure effective workflow and operations; coordinates and adjusts schedules to accommodate supporting services for campus events and activities.

 
4. Perform routine inspections of College facilities and grounds to evaluate levels of service and identify deficiencies for follow-up action.

 
5. Effectively manage surplus property

 
6. Manage campus recycling efforts with the objective of creating and sustaining a robust campus-wide program.

 
Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Climate-controlled office setting and extensive walking on campus both in facilities and around the grounds.
