Endowed Faculty Chairs                                            Gift level: $1.5 million

Endowed faculty chairs are the hallmark of academic quality and a means to honor our most distinguished teachers.  Chairs are reserved for senior level professors who have developed a national reputation for teaching, mentoring, research and publications.

These endowments underwrite a professor's salary as well as related activities such as travel, student collaborative projects and course development.

Donors may designate their resources towards a particular discipline, provided the area of study is a College priority.

Professorships reward junior faculty members who have made substantial contributions while at the College.

These appointments recognize work of the highest quality and provide the means to retain rising stars at Westminster.
