Application Process 

The Westminster College Internship Coordinator will send an e-mail in the Fall semester announcing application timeline and requirements. 

Applications will then be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of a faculty representative, the Executive Director of the Emerson Center for Leadership & Service (on Westminster campus), and the distinguished national Selection Committee. Five finalists will be selected for interviews. The Selection Committee is particularly interested in students who demonstrate the following:
  • An academic record which reflects breadth and scholarship
  • A desire to gain a better understanding of public policy implications on an issue of personal interest
  • An interest in building leadership skills and learning constructive methods of problem solving in a diverse environment
