Why Westminster?
I wanted to attend an institution where my professors would be genuinely interested and personally invested in maximizing the success of my academic pursuits. I have not been disappointed.
Who is your favorite professor and why?
This is a toughie! I'll have to go with my top three: Dr. Geenen (philosophy), Dr. McRae (also philosophy) and Dr. Divine (Spanish). All three of them have continually challenged me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of, in regards to my academic pursuits and personal goals. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
Favorite foods?
I have had a chance to try many international foods. I like the Thai meal called Panang curry.
Favorite place on campus and why?
A toss-up between CSC and the 3rd floor of the library. CSC has my beloved biology labs, and the library has all of the books that I will sadly never have the time to read. It also has a scenic view of the Hill, which is absolutely immaculate during the fall semester.
An interesting fact about you:
I crossed "Run a marathon" off of my bucket list this April.
Advice to an incoming student:
Two things: 1) Challenge everything you believe. If it's true, then you'll have good reasons for believing it. 2) Set a goal and work hard for it. If you want it, go get it. Period.
Clubs and Organizations:
Westminster Bike Club, Mixed Martial Arts Club, Habitat for Humanity, Honors Commission, SGA, Philosopher's Corner.

Why Westminster?
My dad is an alum, so I had heard about Westminster my whole life. When it was time for me to choose a college, I knew I was looking for a small school atmosphere that could provide an academic challenge and Westminster fit the bill!
Who is your favorite professor and why?
Honestly, I've liked ever professor I've ever had a class from at Westminster. I think my adviser, Dr. Bernie Hansert is the professor I've had the most interaction with, though. He's really laid back in his classes, but still does a great job of making sure we understand the information he's teaching. He's always available to help my plan out my schedules, too.
Favorite foods?
I love Indian food.
Favorite place on campus and why?
The couches by the labs in Coulter. They're comfy, sunny, and I always see my professors and other students from my classes doing research.
An interesting fact about you:
I think I'm one of the few Westminster students who actively does horseback riding. People often think I'm from Woods.
Advice to an incoming student:
Find a group of people you like. Don't feel limited to only being friends with your suitemates.
Clubs and Organizations:
I'm an active member of Peer Health Educators (PHE), Residence Hall Association (RHA), Remley Women's Center, and Westminster's representative with the Callaway County Humane Society.
