Ways to Get Involved

Weekly Bible Studies- Several small groups of students meet each week to share in the study of scripture and discuss how it relates to our own lives, current events and our future calling and vocation. Often these conversations are had over pizza!

Interfaith Advisory Board- The Interfaith Advisory Board (IAB) is made up of students across the spiritual spectrum—leadership consists of Jewish, Christian, Atheist, Buddhist, and Muslim students as well as those who identify as “spiritual but not religious.” The goal of IAB is to provide events and programming on campus that reflect the diversity of religious beliefs held by the Westminster college community.

Praise and Worship Team- The Westminster Praise and Worship team consists of students who, in partnership with the chaplain, meet to prayerfully create, plan and carry out campus worship services.

Community Worship- Monthly worship services are held in our campus chapel, St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury. These services feature preachers from Westminster’s own faculty and staff.  Praise and worship is led by the Westminster College Praise and Worship Team.

“Thursdays @ 11” Community Hour—Every Thursday at 11:00 a.m. all meetings, classes, and commitments are set aside as we meet together to consider life’s “big questions.” “Thursday @ 11” programming focuses on faith, ethical questions, the practice of spiritual disciplines and many other topics.

Prayer Team- The prayer team is made up of faculty, staff and students who meet weekly to pray for the concerns of our community.  Prayer concerns be dropped off digitally here, or placed in the prayer box outside the chaplain’s office.

Chaplain Internships- Several students who are interested in pursuing some form of ministry as a vocation are selected each year to serve as chaplain interns within the Office of Spiritual Life.
