Abdullah Al-Hadeethi, Iraq
In addition to his numerous activities on campus, Abdullah Al-Hadeethi, Class of 2013, is majoring in Business Administration and Transnational Studies, and he is also designing his own third major in Middle Eastern Studies. He has served as both the Secretary and President of the International Club, President of Westminster’s Photography Club, Capture the Moment, and as a Group Leader for Westmo for Hope, a service organization.
He has also served on the Student Judiciary Board, as a Student Ambassador, and a Resident Adviser, while making the Dean’s List every semester. During the summer of 2012, Abdullah was part of the Road Crew for the “Blue Jays Across the USA” alumni events program.
Abdullah says about Westminster: “One of the benefits students can get from coming to Westminster is a wider scope of opportunities that they will probably not get by attending a larger school. Because our small size, students get more opportunities for leadership positions and opportunities that not only allow them to prove themselves academically, but also allow them to enhance their personal growth. That for me is very important, and I do not think I could have grown as a person or be exposed to as many leadership positions if I were to go to another school. None of this would have been possible if I chose another school over Westminster.”
