Sara Elliott Memorial Scholarship 

Sarah ElliottSara Nicole Elliott, 18, born August 12, 1986 in Oklahoma City to Cindy and Michael Elliott, went to be with her Lord on February 18, 2005.

Sara attended Our Lord's Community Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School to the two- and three-year-olds. Sara graduated from Heritage Hall May 2004, where she was active on the Student Council, Pep Club officer, National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society), Lincoln-King Society, and the Literary Magazine. She is listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students for 2002-2003 and 2003-2004. She was a student at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, where she majored in chemistry and minored in both mathematics and the classics. She was an officer in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, active in chorus, and selected for the Student Foundation.

Sara was always singing. In fourth through eighth grade she was a member of Edmond Children's Chorus. She won many awards with her voice, including first place in the 'Best of the Best' contest for Oklahoma 8th grade girls, All State Choir in 8th & 9th grade, National Honor Choir in the 9th grade, and All State Women's Choir and Mixed Chorus in High School. She also received the Heritage Hall Music Award her senior year. She was a student of Don Wilson for seven years in Oklahoma City University's Performing Arts Academy. She continued with her music in Westminster's Famous Singers Show Choir and the Chamber Singers.

Sara received the Westminster Winston Churchill Scholarship Award as well as scholarships from other universities. She was a Heritage Hall Challenge Scholar and an Oklahoma Academic Scholar. Sara's high academic performance placed her on the Headmaster's List in High School and on the Dean's List at Westminster. Sara's hobbies included quilt-making, cooking, softball, fencing, golf, amateur radio, computers, and watching old movies.
