Affiliated International Programs
Approved institutions based on their long history in providing quality overseas education.  Keep watching for additional affiliation opportunities in the future.  Meanwhile, several options currently available, include:     

American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS):

Australearn:

Semester at Sea: 
www.semesteratsea.com    Unique study abroad program allows students to study a variety of courses in many exotic ports-of-call on a "voyage of discovery."  Program includes International Field Experiences and summer options.

International Exchange & Direct-Enrollment Programs University of Winchester:  
www.winchester.ac.uk/international   Direct-enrollment program. Special scholarship are available for Westminster students for this program located in Winchester, UK.  Program is available for either one semester or one academic year.  Study programs include Archaeology, Business, Communications, English, Education, Music, Psychology, and more.

University of East Anglia:  
www.uea.ac.uk/international/   Exchange program w/ scholarship transfer.  Westminster scholarships do transfer for this program located in Norwich, UK.  This program is available for either one semester or one academic year.  Students have a variety of courses to chose from and study with British and other international students.

L'Universite Catholique de l'Quest (UCO):  
www.uco.fr    Exchange program w/ scholarship transfer.  Located in Angers, France.  Programs are available for either one semester or one academic year.  Students enroll in courses with French and international students.  A minimum of two years of college French or the equivalent is required.

Ecole Superieure des Sciences Commerciales d'Angers (ESSCA) and Ecole Superieure pour L'Innovation et d'Action vers les Metiers de L'Enterprise (ESIAME): 
www.essca.asso.fr/    Exchange program w/ scholarship transfer.  Located in the Loire River Valley of central France.  Programs available for either one semester or one academic year.  Business course work at either of the institutions two campuses.  A minimum of two years of college French or the equivalent is required.  Students who have not studied French at this level may apply for the semester long European Affairs Program offered each spring.

Kansai Gaidai University:  
www.kansaigaidai.ac.jp   Exchange program w/ scholarship transfer.  Located in Osaka, Japan.  Programs are available for either one semester or one academic year.  Intensive Japanese language study accompanied by courses such as Asian Studies & Japanese business practices taught in English.  Japanese government scholarship assistance is available, plus many more!  No previous study of Japanese is required.

Chicago Urban Studies Program:   
www.acm.edu/urbanstudy/    This is a one semester, 16-credit-hour program in Chicago for students interested in urban social issues.  This program is organized by the Associated Colleges of the Midwest and includes an internship.

United Nations Semester:  www.depts.drew.edu/offcamp/un_page.htm
This program is organized by Drew University for students engaged in international studies and includes seminars and an internship at U.N. headquarters in New York City.

Washington Semester:  
www.american.edu/washingtonsemester/index.html    Located at American University, Washington D.C.  More than 12 one-semester programs, including political science, international relations, journalism, environmental studies, and the visual arts.  May include internship or study abroad.  Scholarships are available.

Westminster Sponsored Off-Campus Programs Westminster faculty organizes short off-campus study tours during the summer and winter breaks.  Courses are usually listed in the schedule of courses for each semester.  Students may seek additional information from the professor offering the particular study excursion and enroll in the course during registration with their advisor.

International Program's study tours have included a safari to Kenya, a study of the civilizations of Greece and Rome, an expedition retracing the ancient pilgrimage routes from Paris to Madrid, an environmental studies course in Belize, and an exploration of castles and cathedrals in England and France. 

Transfer Credit  
Credits should be transferable provided the application for study abroad is completed through the Office of International Programs.  Students should always confer with academic advisors when making plans for study abroad.  Appropriate courses should be pre-approved for credit transfer prior to departure, with some exceptions.
 
 
Financial Aid, Funding & Other Helpful Hints
Each year the college awards the Cranshaw Scholarship for study in the United Kingdom and the Piper Scholarship for study in the United Kingdom or Europe.  See this year's recipients of the Cranshaw and Piper Scholarships!   In most cases, all financial aid except work-study may be applied to exchange programs.  Students participating in affiliated programs may transfer federal financial aid and some state aid, if a Missouri resident.
Students may be eligible for scholarships awarded by the affiliated institution.  The International & Off-Campus Programs Office provides assistance to students with applications to other national and international scholarships to help finance their studies.
