Information for Faculty
Being a Faculty Sponsor
We appreciate your encouragement of student research and invite you to sponsor as many student presentations as you like. Please review the title and abstract for each presentation your students submit. Also, encourage students to attend MUPC even if they are not presenting.
Being a Session Judge
Awards will be given to outstanding oral and poster presentations. We need faculty judges for the Friday evening poster session and at each of the sessions for oral presentations on Saturday. Please volunteer to be a judge either by noting your willingness to serve on the registration form or by emailing Michelle Vaughan in the Westminster psychology department.
We will have several information tables available to students on Friday evening, November 11. The tables will be dedicated to topics such as “Getting into Graduate School” and “Working in the Missouri Mental Health System.” If you would like to set up a table for the purpose of sharing information about your graduate program, please send an email to Ted Jaeger in the Westminster Psychology Department.
On Saturday November 10 the faculty will have lunch together in the Marsh-Jones Room near the student dining area in the Muller Leadership Building. While this has been an opportunity to conduct business in the past, this year we can enjoy the Master Teacher Presentation by Eric Landrum. During lunch there will be a call for announcements and a report of any decisions made by the MUPC Board between now and then. Also we will want to recognize Park University as the host for the 2013 and 2014 MUPC meetings.
A Conference flyer that you can print and display is here.
