Why Study in the Dual-Degree Chiropractic Program at Westminster?
Students have an opportunity to earn an undergraduate, liberal arts degree (BA) from Westminster College and a Doctor of Chiropractic at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri.
- The 3+3 program facilitates the transition of students from Westminster to Logan by giving students the possibility to study at both institutions and to shorten the length of the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from 7 to 6 years.
Students earn a BA from Westminster which satisfies the basic science requirements during their first year of graduate studies and allows qualified students to receive the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Logan in only 6 years. Westminster College, a selective, independent, four-year co-educational residential college, offers students a dynamic liberal arts and sciences education. Classes are interactive, seminar-style, with an average of 16 students per class.
Students earn a BA in Biology from Westminster College and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College while participating in the dual degree program. Logan College provides the facilities and environment that produce graduates that practice their skills throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and around the globe. The institution is world renowned for chiropractic education and provides personalized instruction as well as possibilities for research and other scholarly activities. For their senior year students are admitted to Logan as first year doctorate of chiropractic students. Completion of the required coursework at Logan will count into the students’ baccalaureate degree and allow graduation from Westminster College.
Students will learn anatomy by dissecting cadavers in their Human and Gross Anatomy courses. Learn more about the cadaver program here. Students will also have the opportunity to conduct independent research projects with faculty members in Westminster’s Biology Department.
The Doctor of Chiropractic Degree qualifies graduates to practice their skills in the United States and around the globe. As part of the Chiropractic Program, Logan has Chiropractic Health Centers that offer senior intern positions supervised by experienced clinicians.
