BioTech: an Interactive Educational Resource and Biotechnology Reference Tool
Has links to many sites of interest to biologists. The illustrated Dictionary will give you information on life science terms. If you seek chemical information, try the Chemical Acronyms Database. Introduction to Glycolysis is an interactive textbook supplement that will help you learn human biochemistry. Cyberbotanica, a virtual chapter in medicinal botany, describes various botanical compounds used in cancer treatment and the plants that produce them. In Science Resources, you'll find annotated lists of biomedical Web sites. The Internet Directory of Botany is an index to botanical information available on the Internet, compiled by Anthony R. Brach (Harvard University Herbarium, Cambridge / Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis); Raino Lampinen (Botanical Museum, Finnish Museum of Natural History, University of Helsinki, Finland; Shunguo Liu (SHL Systemhouse, Edmonton, Canada); and Keith McCree (Oakridge, Oregon).

Plants National Database--USDA
The PLANTS Database provides standardized information about the vascular plants, mosses, liverworts, hornworts, and lichens of the U.S. and its territories. It includes names, plant symbols, checklists, distributional data, species abstracts, characteristics, images, plant links, references, crop information, and automated tools.

Scott's Botanical Links
Devoted to the study of plants. This site is his effort to compile useful botany education resources for the advanced high school (AP-biology) and college level students. Internet resources vary in quality, so he has rated sites on a 4-star scale emphasizing educational value, completeness and scientific correctness. Resources are added daily. Features a "link of the day," an internet site of botanical interest, as well as an extensive listing of sites of interest. An excellent botany search engine is available on the site for locating particulars.
