Interlibrary Loan Services
Interlibrary loan is available to faculty, students, administration, and staff. Most books and articles can be obtained at no charge to the borrower.
For books, first check the Arthur and the MOBIUS Catalogs to see if the item is held by one of the academic libraries in MOBIUS. If so, you may place a request in the online catalog yourself. This will be faster than using interlibrary loan, which now is used for books not available through MOBIUS and for periodical articles. First Search-Worldcat is a good place to search for additional books that can be received through traditional interlibrary loan but it may take 2 weeks to receive the item.
You may request materials in the following ways:
If you are requesting a journal article not available from Reeves Library's print or online sources, use the Worldcat database to locate it. Use WorldCat to request books not found in Arthur or Mobius, Select "Borrow this item from another library" and fill out the e-form.
Contact our circulation department or e-mail Katy Emerson, our resource sharing assistant at ext. 5247 for information and/or assistance.
Most books requested through Arthur or MOBIUS will arrive in two or three days. It may take a few weeks to receive other interlibrary loan materials. Since traditional interlibrary loan requests come from anywhere in the nation and across the world their delivery time depends on a number of variables. The loan period is set by the lending library. When articles arrive they can be sent to you via campus email or you may pick them up at the Circulation Desk. Books received through ILL may be picked up in the library's front office. They may be returned by campus mail or to the Circulation Desk.
