* Earn College Credit through TNS 100: Transnational Issues This course is an introductory survey of global and transnational issues that cross borders and affect every citizen of the world. Issues discussed may include transnational crime, global disease, global governance, democratization, human trafficking, globalization and finance, and others. (1 credit hour, $100 additional fee) |

Fees
$600 (residential experience, including housing, meals, classes, t-shirt, and all activities); $300 (day experience only, including lunch, classes, t-shirt, and activities from 9 to 4:30)
Tuition for one hour of elective college credit: $100 (optional)

A former social studies teacher at Hickman High School, Professor Landry is a member of the Columbia Public Schools Retired Educators Hall of Fame. Following his retirement, he began teaching at Westminster College, specializing in Asian studies, political science, and Model United Nations. In summer 2013, Landry (along with Dr. Kurt Jefferson) led students to China and Mongolia, a trip that included a 550-mile, 25-hour train trek across the Gobi Desert in a Soviet-era train. |
Professor Matt Murrie | |
Matt Murrie has over a decade of teaching experience in five countries on three different continents as a public school teacher, Peace Corps volunteer, and college professor. He is the author of While You Were Sleeping and Every Day on Earth, owner of World Spectacular LLC and an "edupreneurship" pioneer. He is also the co-founder and Chief Curiosity Curator of the What If … ? Conference. |
