Where are you from?
St. Charles, Missouri has been my home since 1994 but I grew up in Fulton, Missouri
Where did you go to college and what did you major in?
I graduated from Westminster College with a degree in Business Administration.

What’s the best thing about working for Westminster?
Westminster College provides an exceptional community of people who care about the success of our students.  We want to see students learn in a challenging, fun environment.  We are inspired every day by the accomplishments of our students.

Why did you choose to be an Enrollment Counselor?
As a student at Westminster, one of my activities was giving campus tours to prospective students.  When the opportunity came up to join the admissions staff, I jumped at the chance to work for the College and share the student experience with others looking to join the Westminster community.

Outside of being a counselor, what other programs or office initiatives are you involved in?
Together with Emily Blake, we plan the Scholarship Day events.

What’s your favorite memory of being a counselor so far?
The most rewarding experience is getting to know families through the college search and having a student select Westminster College then watching the student graduate four years later.  It’s great to still be in contact with students who now have families of their own.

List a couple of your hobbies.
My husband and I love to travel so when time permits, we will go just about anywhere.  We also enjoy our two crazy dogs who allow us to live in “their” house.

What’s one thing about your personality most people wouldn’t assume about you?
Well that would have to be my prankster side and getting people to laugh with something unexpected!

What’s your favorite piece of advice to share with students who are researching colleges?
Do your own thing!  Your college choice is all about you (not your friends) so choose a college where you can meet new people, learn more about yourself, get out of your comfort zone all while gaining a fantastic education.
