SAAC Constitution 


Constitution, Article 1

1.1 Name
The name of the organization is the Westminster Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

1.2 Purpose
The purpose of this committee is:
(a) To promote student-athlete welfare on an institutional level;
(b) To provide student-athletes a voice on intercollegiate matters;
(c) To gain a student-athlete response on conference and NCAA legislation.

By-Laws, Article 2

2.1 Membership
The membership of the Westminster Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will consist of a representative from each intercollegiate team. Each head coach will be consulted concerning the selection of the team's representative.

2.2 Advisor
The advisor of the Westminster Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be a member of the Westminster intercollegiate athletic staff. It is his/her responsibility to assist the officers in conducting the business of the committee. The director of athletics will be an ex-officio member.

2.3 Committee Officers
The slate of officers for the Westminster Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will include co-chairs (a male and a female) and a recording secretary. The member representatives will select the officers in the spring.

By-Laws, Article 3

3.1 Meetings
The Westminster Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will meet monthly. The time and location of the meeting will be decided by the membership, with the approval of the advisor.
