Westminster College has a long history of success
in intercollegiate athletics. The Blue Jays rose to prominence
in the early 1900s under the guidance of coaches Jim Pixlee
and Brutus Hamilton. Missouri coaching legends  Henry "Hank" Iba
and Tom Botts played collegiately at Westminster and paved the
way for major leaguers such as Fulton's own
Arnold "Bake" McBride.

A long-time power in the Missouri College Athletic
Union (MCAU) and the National Association of Intercollegiate
Athletics (NAIA), Westminster now competes on the Division III
level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA),
and is a member of the St. Louis Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference (SLIAC).
