Dennis Hughes joined the Westminster College athletic staff as head baseball coach in the fall of 2011.

A former Jefferson City Helias High School administrator, coach and teacher, Hughes joins the Blue Jay staff with extensive experience. Hughes, who recently retired from Helias, guided the Crusader baseball team to a 137-38 record in eight seasons as head coach and guided the team to state titles in 1987, 1988 and 1989 before concluding his high school career as an administrator and teacher.

Hughes and his wife, Carole, have three sons and live in Jefferson City.
