Jones And Buxton Named Westminster Athletes Of The Year...
Four Blue Jays Players Earn SLIAC Academic Recognition
Four members of the Westminster College women's soccer team have earned academic all-conference honors by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. To be eligible for academic all-conference recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and have at least one full year of residence at their current institution (first year transfers and true freshmen are not eligible).

Three Pick Up 2007 All-Conference Honors
Three members of the 2007 Westminster College women's soccer squad have earned all-conference honors as voted on by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic conference coaches.
Meaghan Jones and Catherine Zielinski have been named to the all-conference second team. Jones, a senior midfielder from Pacific, Missouri (Pacific), appeared and started in all 16 matches, and led the team in assists (9) and game-winning goals (2). Jones earned all-conference honors in each of her four seasons and concluded her career with a school-record 33 assists. Zielinski, a freshman defender from St. Louis, Missouri (Notre Dame), appeared and started all 16 matches for the Blue Jays.
Meaghan Barron, a freshman forward from St. Louis, Missouri (Ursuline Academy), earned honorable mention recognition. Barron appeared and started in 15 matches, and led the team in goals (8), points (19), shots (47) and shots on goal (37).
Westminster finished the season 4-12 overall and sixth in the conference standings at 3-5.
