Dr. Laura Harrison, 2015-16 Robertson Founder's Chair in British History
Dr. Harrison completed her Ph.D. from the University of Leeds in early 2015. Her research examined the young working class and their relationship with urban space in the late 19th and early 20th centuries with a particular focus on their leisure and courtship activities. She holds a M.A. in history and politics from the University of York and received her undergraduate education at the University of Glasgow. She also spent a summer in Glasgow working as a researcher on the Glasgow Women’s Library “Find a Solution” Project. Harrison is currently preparing a monograph based on her doctoral research.
