Health Insurance



Westminster offers health benefits to all full-time employees through United Health Care.  The College offers three health insurance plan options which include medical and prescription coverage.  



Employees that participate in a high-deductible health plan can set aside money in a Health Savings Account (HSA) before taxes are deducted to pay for eligible medical, dental, and vision expenses with pre-tax dollars. Money in an HSA can be invested, much like a 401(k).  Unused money is not forfeited at the end of the year and is the employee's to keep when leaving employment. The HSA accounts are held with Optum. For more information about Health Savings Accounts, contact the Office of Human Resources.  



Employees can register at United Health Care to monitor their HSA account as well as medical claims.  To register, click on the 'myuhc' link above.
