Westminster College President Dr. Barney Forsythe

Dr. George B. Forsythe

Welcome to Westminster! Founded in 1851 to prepare its graduates for useful service to the community, the Westminster College of today is one of America's top liberal arts colleges, known for its rich history, strong traditions, and national reputation for educational excellence. I invite you to browse the links in this section to learn more about Westminster College.

First you will find Westminster 2020, which presents our mission, vision, and strategic plan for the next decade. The strategic plan summarizes the specific goals and strategies we will put in place to fulfill our mission and realize our strategic vision of making Westminster nationally known for excellence in developing leaders in a global community at the undergraduate level. You will note that student learning at the highest levels-combined with leadership and service on campus, in the community, and around the world-guide everything we do at the College.

Second is the Concept for Student Development. Here we summarize our holistic and integrated approach to student learning and development. The Concept for Student Development provides the conceptual foundations for all our academic and co-curricular programs. The link at the bottom of the page takes you to a more detailed explanation of the Concept.

Third, we introduce you to the members of the Board of Trustees and the President's Cabinet. These individuals, together with leaders of the faculty, staff, and student body, are dedicated to creating the enriching learning environment in which our students flourish.

I am thankful to be part of this remarkable team at this time in Westminster's history. Sharing in the stewardship of our most precious treasure-the men and women whose lives are transformed through the Westminster experience-is a profound privilege.
