I have been working in the Athletic Dept. since Aug. 1995. Prior to joining the staff at Westminster, I worked as the office manager at Presbyterian Manor and receptionist at the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
Before entering the work force I stayed at home with my 3 children who are now 30 year old Levi (works for the Army National Guard, has served a year in Iraq, graduated from Columbia College May 09 with a degree in sociology and psychology, married to Megan and lives in Columbia), 28 year old Cody (Westminster Alum 05, Beta, very loyal and very hard worker, who works and lives in Columbia), and Ciera 23 (Westminster Alum 08, Kappa, Blue Blazer , as well as many other accomplishments, lives and works in Pensacola, FL, engaged to Michael Harris, Westminster alum 08). My three children have made me very proud.
I also have 3 grandchildren – all boys. Jordan, who is 10, lives in Columbia with his dad, Levi. One of my favorite things Jordan used to say to me is "NaNa, where at you?” I also have a set of twin grandsons who live in the state of CA. (oh so far away) with their mother. They are as cute as can be; of course I could be a little prejudice.
I was born here in Fulton, but have lived in AZ, TX, IL, CA, and FL. I have a brother, Bobby Hoover (4 years younger – born on my 4th birthday) and a sister, Nancy (8 ½ years younger) who both live in Florida. And if you ask Connie Foust (Computer Services), she won't tell you - but we are cousins. And she loves me anyway!
I love my job here at Westminster working with the student-athletes. They are all great kids (athletes as well as non-athletes). I am sure they don't like for me to refer to them as kids, but that's ok, I feel like a lot of them are my kids.
I have a lot of good memories of many, many students who have attended Westminster and I always hate to say goodbye to them when they leave us. I do look forward to Alumni weekend and love getting updates from students and parents alike.
And as a lot of you know I am a big Blue Jay Fan and Cheerleader for the Westminster Athletes. Many times you will see me on the bleachers here at Westminster College cheering the Blue Jays on to victory!!!! REMEMBER IT IS ALWAYS A GREAT DAY TO BE A BLUE JAY!!!!!
