Curtis Madson joined the Westminster College staff as the women's volleyball coach and physical education instructor in the spring of 2013.

A former elementary physical education teacher, Madson came to Westminster with extensive experience. He spent three and a half years of coaching at the collegiate level, one at Carthage College's Division III men's program, as well as two years running and coaching a NIRSA men's club volleyball program. This past season, Madson was the assistant women's volleyball coach at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He also has eight years of high school coaching experience, five of which he was the head coach of a boys' varsity program. He has an extensive background in coaching volleyball camps, mainly through Carthage College for men's camps, and at UW-Platteville with the Nike Camps for girls.

Madson began his volleyball collegiate playing career as the libero at Clarke College in 2003-2005. During the 2004 season, he was voted co-captain of the team. He then transferred to Carthage College and finished his collegiate career as a defensive specialist on the volleyball team. During his time at Carthage, he was a part of two Coleman Division Championships and the 2005 Molten Division III National Runner-Up team.

He received his undergraduate degree in physical education and sport and fitness with an athletic coaching certification from Carthage College in 2007 and then completed a graduate degree in athletic administration from Western Kentucky University.

Madson and his wife, Mallory, reside in Fulton.
