The Colors of Westminster is a Sophomore Leadership Experience that was held on October 13-14th by theOffice of Intercultural Engagement in the Emerson Center for Leadership and Service.
The goal of the progam was to bring ermerging sophmore leaders, who were chosen by Westminster's faculty and staff, together in an off-campus setting to talk about the issue of diversity.
The group inlcuded two uppper class leaders whose goals were to help sophomores develop leadership skills and cross-cultural competencies.
During the overnighter, students engaged in many activities including a discussion about the meaning of leadership with Global Leader in Residence, Arda Aghazarian. They also developed their cross-cultural competencies through a discussion about self-identity identifications and privileges. Workshops were also designed to help students develop their leadership skills through a better understanding of personal strengths.
