Baseball’s 10 Game Win Streak Snapped

The Westminster Blue Jays lost 7-1 to the Fontbonne University Griffins Thursday night, snapping the Blue Jays’ ten game win streak.

The Griffins grabbed the early lead, scoring four runs in the first three innings.  The Blue Jays were unable to comeback from the early deficit, even though the Blue Jays out hit the Griffins seven to six.

Nolan Lark was the losing pitcher; he pitched two and a third innings, giving up four total runs, three being earned runs on three hits.

The Blue Jays resume play Saturday at Saucier Field against Blackburn College at 1 o’clock.
