For the first time in the 19-year history of women’s basketball the Blue Jays (20-6, 16-0/1st SLIAC) captured the conference title, setting schools records for wins in a season (20) and longest winning streak (15). Junior Rachel Backes moved into seventh on the career scoring list with 881 career points and became the first Blue Jay to earn All-American recognition.
