Baseball Increases Win Streak To 10 With Wins Over Principia

The Westminster Blue Jays celebrated Senior Day, winning both games of the doubleheader against Principia College with the scores of 16-3 in game one and 10-0 in game two.
In game one, the Blue Jays were off to an early start, scoring five runs in the first and second innings. Westminster pounded out sixteen hits total, including two hits apiece by Cam Backes, Andy Pichler, Tyler Branneky, Danton Hughes, and A.C. Long. Tim Chambliss and Danton Hughes both had three RBIs each.
Kevin Moritz was the winning pitcher. Moritz pitched four and two-thirds, giving up no runs, no hits, and striking out six.
In game two, the Blue Jays continued the offense as they scored ten runs on nine hits. Mallette led the offensive with two hits and two runs scored, and Whitaker had a three run homerun.
Tyler Ten Eyck got the win; he pitched five and two-thirds, giving up four hits and no runs.
The Blue Jays look to extend their ten game win streak next weekend against Blackburn College.
