Blue Jay Runners Establish 11 Modern-Day Bests

Warrensburg, Mo. – Nine individuals and two relays teams set modern-day bests as the Westminster College track and field teams concluded the indoor season this past Friday at the University of Central Missouri Mule Classic.
On the men’s side, junior Rick Spinell bettered the 60-meter dash time in 7.47, junior EJ Berry recorded a 23.97 in the 200-meter dash, junior Myhlan Myers posted a 55.14 in the 400-meter dash, freshman Eric Boeckman covered 600 meters in 1:20.66, freshman Jared Patterson posted a 2:07.62 in the 800-meter run, freshman Daniel Lindeman ran a 9:28.43 in the 3000-meter run, and the 1600-meter relay team of Berry, Boeckman, Myers and Patterson posted a time of 3:41.92.
Three women recorded modern-day bests. Freshman Tanesha Terrell ran 60-meters in 8.58, freshman Manyima Njie posted a 29.07 in the 200-meter dash, and sophomore Sarah Koestner ran the 3000 meters in 10:57.05. The 1600 relay team of Terrell, sophomore Courtney Griswold, sophomore Sarah Ogar and Njie ran a 4:44.24.
The outdoor season begins on Saturday, March 17, at the Central Methodist University Open in Fayette, Missouri.
