Blue Jay Volleyball Shuts Down Blackburn

The Blue Jays of Westminster College shut down Blackburn College Tuesday night, winning the match 3 games to 0. The win moves Westminster’s overall record to 13-14 and the SLIAC record to 10-5, clinching a spot in the SLIAC Tournament.
The game scores were 25-9, 25-9, and 25-19.
The Blue Jays hit a .314 as a team. Freshman Lexi Collier (Weston, Mo. / West Platte) and junior Andrea Kiser (Warsaw, Mo. / Warsaw) had eight kills apiece. Five players had service aces, and leading the team was Caroline Will (St. Louis, Mo. / Rosati-Kain) with three. Haley Roberts (Farmington, Mo. / Farmington) contributed 28 assists, along with two service aces.
The Blue Jays come back into action this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. when they take on the Stars of Stephens College for Westminster’s Senior Day/Homecoming.
