Elsah, Ill. - Westminster College extended its current winning streak in women’s basketball to five games with a 69-55 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road victory Thursday over Principia College. In the process, the Blue Jays (11-2, 6-0 SLIAC) improved to 31-10 in the all-time series with Principia (3-9, 2-3 SLIAC).

Westminster took a 34-25 lead into halftime and emptied the bench in the second half with all 16 players on the roster seeing action. Sophomore Leigh Ann Lutz (California, Mo./California) and senior Heather Letourneau (Smithton, Mo./Smithton) each scored a team-high 13 points, and senior Rachel Backes (Tipton, Mo./Tipton) finished with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
