Blue Jays Clinch 2nd Place In SLIAC, Head To Tournament

The Westminster Baseball team clinched the number two seed in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC). The Blue Jays will now head to the SLIAC Tournament on May 9-11. The Tournament is being held at Glik Park in Highland, Illinois.

This will be Westminster's 13th SLIAC Tournament appearance. The Blue Jays have won three tournaments and are currently 21-16 in tournament play.

The Blue Jays will begin play on Thursday, May 9, as they take on the number three seed, Spalding University at 5:00 p.m.

Westminster vs. Fontbonne: Westminster leads the all-time series with Fontbonne 29-23. The Blue Jays went 2-1 with Fontbonne earlier this season, winning the doubleheader games. Westminster is currently 2-1 with Fontbonne in tournament play.

Westminster vs. Spalding: Spalding leads the all-time series with Westminster 8-4. The Blue Jays went 1-2 with Spalding earlier this season. This is Spalding’s first appearance at the SLIAC Tournament.

Westminster vs. Webster: Westminster and Webster are tied in the all-time series, 30-30. They are also tied 3-3 in tournament play. Webster is currently ranked 23rd in the nation and is 20-1 in conference play.
