Blue Jays Extend Winning Streak To Four Games

Jacksonville, Ill. – The Westminster College baseball team extended its current winning streak to four games with a sweep of its St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) doubleheader Sunday at MacMurray College.
The Blue Jays (12-16, 8-8 SLIAC) won the opener 10-0 behind the three-hit shut-out pitching of junior Tyler Ten Eyck (6-4) who struck out six batters over seven innings of work. Nine batters recorded hits with junior Kevin Moritz going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored. Moritz went 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in a 12-4 victory in the nightcap. Senior Nick Genetti went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and freshman Jake Rule (3-1) picked up the win with relief help from freshman Tommy Bohnert. MacMurray falls to 11-16 overall and 4-12 in league play.
