Blue Jays Fall to NAIA Eagles

The men’s soccer team fell to nonconference Central Methodist University Wednesday night, 5-1. The loss brings the Blue Jays’ overall record to 7-6-2.
The Blue Jays held the Eagles from scoring in the first half, minus one minute where CMU scored twice. Caleb Marquis (Moberly, Mo. / Moberly) saved six balls in the first half. Westminster shot four times, but could not find the goal.
During the second half Westminster was able to put a point on the scoreboard. R.J. Moore (Little Rock, Ark. / Catholic) swooshed the ball over the Eagle’s goalie on a penalty kick in the 59th minute. The Blue Jays could not get the ball past the Eagle’s goalie again.
The Blue Jays prepare for their Homecoming / Senior Day Saturday, October 27th when they take on the Red Devils of Eureka College at 7:00 p.m.
