Carlinville, Ill. – Despite shooting just 34 percent from the field, the Westminster College men’s basketball squad used a 52-40 advantage on the boards in recording a 63-55 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) road win over Blackburn College Saturday.

Senior Joe Prophet (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City) scored a team-high 18 points to pace Westminster (8-8, 4-3 SLIAC). Freshman Verdis Lee (Fulton, Mo./Fulton) finished with 14 points, junior Skylar Tolson (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) added 10 points and senior Kurt Kovach (St. Peters, Mo./Fort Zumwalt south) pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds. Blackburn (5-10, 2-4 SLIAC) was led by Julian Lott’s game-high 22 points.
