Blue Jays Outscored Second Half

The Blue Jays were outscored in the second half Thursday night against Wheaton College.  The 41-70 loss brought their overall record to 6-2.

The lead bounced back and forth for the Blue Jays in the first half, and with 2:20 left in the half the game was tied 25-25.  Mookie Valandra blocked a shot, but the Thunder was able to get the offensive rebound and score, starting their 7-0 run to end the first half up 32-25.

The Blue Jays were not able to keep up in the second half, and the Thunder increased their lead.  With 7:32 remaining in the game, the Thunder went on a 9-0 run that the Blue Jays stopped when Jordan Jones scored an easy layup.  The Thunder answered back and went on an 11-2 run to end the game.

The Blue Jays were led by Joe Prophet with 10 points and 2 assists, and Joe James added 9 points and 2 assists.  Taylor Allen grabbed 7 rebounds and Valandra pulled down 6.  The Blue Jays had seven steals to end the game.

The Blue Jays head home to take on the Kohawks of Coe College Monday evening, December 10th at 7:00 p.m.
