Blue Jays fell to Nebraska Wesleyan

The Westminster Blue Jays fell to Nebraska Wesleyan 5-1 on Monday afternoon, bringing this year’s record to 1-5. 
Westminster struggled in the first half, allowing Nebraska Wesleyan to score their 5 goals.  Ashlee Slade ended the first half with a goal.  She scored 2 of the 5 goals for Nebraska Wesleyan.  The Blue Jays did not get discouraged though, and came out strong in the second half.  The Blue Jays not only shut down the Prairie Wolves in the second half, but also kept the shots on goal to 1. LaTayisah Ousley scored on a penalty kick with about 12 minutes left in the game, to end the game at 5-1.
Westminster will return to play Saturday at 5:00 p.m. against William Woods.
