Branneky, Hughes Named To 2013 All-Central Region Team

Sophomore Tyler Branneky and freshman Deion Hughes have been named to the 2013 All-Central Region Third Team.

Branneky was named to the Third Team as the third baseman. He has also received St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Co-Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-SLIAC Honors. Branneky played in every game this season and recorded 18 putouts and 63 assists. He finished the season with a .504 on base percentage and a .651 slugging percentage. He led the SLIAC with his .406 batting average for the season and finished fourth in the SLIAC with 5 home runs.

Hughes was named to the Third Team as a utility player. He was named to the Honorable Mention All-SLIAC this year. He was the Blue Jays’ left fielder and a pitcher. He finished the season with a .342 batting average and recorded 60 putouts. He pitched 17 innings throughout 12 games and finished the season with a 1.06 ERA.
