Computer Science Students Win Awards at Conference

Five students from the Westminster College Computer Science & Information Technology Department attended the 2012 Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges, Central Plains Regional Conference at Ozark Community Technical College in Springfield, MO on March 30-31.  

Four of these students (Cori Miller, Alex Meyer, Matt Weaver, and Douglas Webster) presented posters of research and development projects in the conference poster competition.  All three prizes in the poster competition were awarded to Westminster College CS/IT students: 

  • 1st Place was Cori Miller with the poster: User Analysis and Proposed Interface for a Student Placement Application (pictured top right)
  • 2nd Place was Alex Meyer with the poster: Community Revitalization through Refurbishment of IT Resources (pictured center)
  • 3rd Place was Matt Weaver with the poster: Chemical Inventory Tracking Systems (pictured bottom right)
Congratulations to these students on their hard work and quality presentation!
