Students trying to find jobs or internships will have the opportunity to meet with employers from over 60 different organizations, including 19 graduate programs on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the Hunter Activity Center gymnasium.

The recruiters from the various organizations will be available from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

This event is the largest Career EXPO Westminster College has ever held.

Representatives from graduate schools ranging from the University of Missouri School of Medicine to the St. Louis University School of Social Work will be in attendance.  Employers will include Edward Jones, State Farm Insurance, Commerce Bank, Target, U.S. Cellular, Walgreens, Wells Fargo and Aldi Inc.

“Students attending will gain a practical, real world view of what employers are looking for and come away from the experience with a better understanding of how their own skills and abilities match the opportunities available,” says Meg Langland, Director of Career Services at Westminster.  “Just the simple act of approaching an EXPO recruiter, introducing oneself and carrying on a career-related conversation is an opportunity to develop interpersonal skills that will be required to advance professionally and personally.”

Students are asked to dress professionally and bring several copies of their resumes to the EXPO.  A complete list of graduate schools and employer recruiters attending the Career EXPO can be found here.

The Office of Career Services provides Westminster students with the services, experiences and opportunities tailored to meet their individual career development needs.  Through the Career EXPO, students develop a greater understanding of some of the successful career paths available to them as full-time employees or as interns working within an organization.
