Congressman Luetkemeyer Visits Political Science Class
U.S. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer spent Monday morning, March 29, leading a seminar in Professor Tobias Gibson’s political science class on the U.S. Congress and then went to lunch with Professor Gibson, Dean of Students Dr. Carolyn Perry, and some of the students in the class.
Congressman Luetkemeyer discussed his committee assignments, the rules of Congress, the relationship between the political parties in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the relationship between the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate. He also fielded questions on hot button issues such as the Tea Party in American politics, progress in Afghanistan, and differences in party ideology at the national level.
