Five Westminster Blue Jays Earn All-SLIAC Softball Recognition

Fulton, Mo. - Five members of the Westminster College softball squad received all-conference honors as voted on by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches. The Blue Jays finished the season 9-18 overall and tied for sixth in the league standings at 7-9.
Morgan Shipley, a junior-to-be from St. Charles, Missouri (St. Charles High School), was named to the all-conference first team at catcher. Shipley led the Blue Jays in hitting percentage (.388), hits (31) and RBI (19).
Senior Amy Baumhoer (Folk, Mo./Fatima) was named to the second team as a utility player, freshman Rai’an Harris (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood Central) earned second-team honors at first base, and freshman Lori Jones (Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway Central) was a second-team pick in the outfield. And, freshman Becca Rose (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway West) was named to the all-sportsmanship team.
