Fulton, Mo. - Westminster got double figure scoring from five players but free throw shooting was the difference in the men's 103-96 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference double overtime loss to Greenville College Tuesday.
The Blue Jays (6-8, 2-3 SLIAC) made just 12-of-20 free throws while Greenville (6-5, 2-2 SLIAC) made 32-of-38 charity tosses. Ironically, Greenville's Jonas McBride, who led all scorers with 27 points, made free throws to send the game into each of the overtime periods. Freshman Verdis Lee (Fulton, Mo./Fulton) paced Westminster with a career-high 24 points.
