Dear Members of the Westminster Community,
Our entire nation is shocked and saddened by the tremendous loss of life and property experienced by the Joplin area. As you know, we have students and alumni from this area, and our staff is in the process of reaching out to them. At this time of sorrow, I ask that our thoughts and prayers be with all those who are suffering as a result of this terrible natural disaster and with their loved ones.
Certainly, we of this Westminster community are committed to serving others. With that in mind, I ask that each and every one of us do what we can to help our fellow Missourians in need.
Here are two ways you can help:
1. While no blood drives are scheduled in Fulton at this time, collection sites are available in Columbia and Jefferson City. If you wish to make a personal blood donation, please call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment.
2. The other best recourse at this time is to make a financial donation to the Red Cross, which can be specified for the Missouri Tornado-Joplin area or for Local Services, or you can request the donation be split between both efforts. To make a credit card donation, call 1-800 RedCross or visit their website at www.redcross.org. A texted donation of $10 can be made by texting “RED CROSS” to 90999. A mailed donation may be sent in care of Callaway County Red Cross Office, 350 Sycamore Street, Fulton, Mo 65251.
Thank you for your prayers and support for these Missourians in need.
