Lady Jays Clinch 2nd Place In SLIAC, Head To Tournament

The Westminster Softball team clinched the number two spot in the SLIAC with the two game sweep over Eureka College Monday afternoon. The Blue Jays will now head to the SLIAC Tournament on May 2-4. The Tournament is being held on Principia College's campus in Elsah, Ill.

This will be Westminster's 11th SLIAC Tournament appearance. The Blue Jays have won three tournaments and are currently 8-8 in tournament play.

Westminster vs. Eureka: Westminster and Eureka are tied in the all-time series 7-7. Westminster swept Eureka on Monday to head to the tournament and has won the last 5 of 6 games.

Westminster vs. Fontbonne: Fontbonne leads Westminster in the all-time series 42-6. The Blue Jays have struggled in tournament play against Fontbonne; Fontbonne has knocked the Blue Jays out of the tournament four times. Fontbonne is currently 16-0 in the 2013 season and number one in conference.

Westminster vs. Spalding: Spalding leads Westminster in the all-time series 5-3. The Blue Jays swept Spalding in the beginning of the season and has won the last three games.
