Westminster Political Science Professor Predicts Impact of Hurricane on Presidential Election

Westminster political science professor Dr. John Langton predicts Hurricane Sandy could not only have an effect on how many people turn out to vote and who they will be but also how they will vote in next Tuesday’s Presidential Election.

“Natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy followed by any bad weather on Election Day, tend to depress voter turnout in general and usually deter a larger percentage of Democratic voters from casting their ballots,” says Dr. Langton.
