Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Marian

The Westminster Men’s Soccer Team shut out Marian University- Wisconsin Sunday afternoon. The Blue Jays won 3-0, bringing their overall record to 7-5-2.
After 30 minutes of play, Zach Moore (Nixa, Mo. / Ozark) headed in a goal from Jimmy Bruenning (St. Louis, Mo. / Christian Brothers). The Blue Jays ended the first half 1-0.
Shortly after the second half started, in the 51st minute, R.J. Moore (Little Rock, Ark. / Catholic) headed a goal in off a cross from Tyler Cook (St. Louis, Mo. / Oakville). With 7 minutes left in the game, Cook kicked in a goal from a cross by Jacob Appelbaum (St. Louis, Mo. / U. of New Haven).
The Blue Jays kept Marian to six shots on goal, while Westminster took nine.
The Blue Jays play Central Methodist Wednesday, October 24th at 7:00 for their last non-conference game.
