Men's Cross Country Places 5th At Central Missouri Mule Run, Women 8th

The Westminster cross country team competed in the Central Missouri Mule Run Saturday morning.

The men's team placed 5th out of 10 teams,  averaging a 22:49.36 time in the 6400-meter run. The Blue Jays beat out Baker University for 5th by one point. Jesse Edwards crossed the finish line first for the Blue Jays, placing 20th and finishing with a 21:53.64 time. Senior Matt Borst followed Edwards, finishing in 24th place with a 22:00.47 time. 

The women's team placed 8th out of 12 teams, averaging a time of averaging a time of 16:30.69 in the 4K. Senior Sarah Koestner crossed the line first for the Blue Jays, placing 20th with a time of 15:45.57. 

The Blue Jays will compete in the Missouri Southern Invitational next Saturday, September 21st in Joplin, Missouri.
