Mesa Counts on College Community Summit

2/12/2013
Mesa

Mayor Scott Smith is hosting a morning discussion about college completion in our community at the Mesa Counts on College Community Summit on February 26, at the Mesa Convention Center.

Keynote speaker is Dr. Jack Scott, former Chancellor of the California Community College System and California State Senator. Dr. Scott will be highlighting the challenges, successes and strategies around making college completion a community priority. Westminster College is a vital partner in continuing this effort for Mesa.

Mesa Counts on College is a partnership among the City of Mesa, Mesa Public Schools and Mesa Community College to increase college completion among low-income youth ages 16-26. The partnership, launched in 2010, has been working on creating sustainable structures within and between the organizations to support this work and help more of our Mesa young people succeed.

Please RSVP to Tawn at 480.461.7302. Space is limited so RSVP today. If there is another community leader important to this effort, please include their contact information with your RSVP.
