Ogar Breaks 800 School Mark At CMU Invitational

Fayette, Mo. – Sarah Ogar broke her own school record in the 800-meter run Friday and was one-of-four Westminster College track and field athletes to score at the Central Methodist University Invitational.
Ogar, a sophomore from Mexico, Missouri (Mexico High School), finished second in the 800-meter run in a new school-record time of 2:22.35. Sophomore Sarah Koestner (Lohman, Mo./Russellville) placed fourth in the 1500-meter run in 5:00.67 and eighth in the 800-meter run in 2:29.38, and junior Kaily Downey (Kirkwood, Mo./Kirkwood) took sixth in the 1500-meter run in 5:04.12 for the women’s team which placed 12th out of the 16 teams that scored points.
Freshman Jared Patterson (Salem, Mo./Salem) placed eighth in the men’s 1500-meter run in 4:10.75 to set a modern-day best time for the men’s team that finished 16th out of the 16 teams that scored points.
